AHK represents PWG in signing MOU on Hands on The Future Skills Show.

The Delegation of German Chambers and Commerce (AHK), representing the Permanent Working Group on TVET (PWG), is supporting the Technical and Vocational Education Authority in Kenya (TVETA) and The Standard Group to run the The Hands on The Future Kenya Skills Show 2019.

From 8th – 10th of February, 2019, at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), the public is welcomed to join PWG and various other stakeholders for an opportunity to interact with and discuss what TVET opportunities exist for young Kenyans who are of working age. AHK is a founding member and serves as the secretariat of the Permanent Working Group on TVET (PWG) and through the dedicated AHK Vocational Training department, is actively involved in many initiatives to bridge the skills gap in the Kenyan labor market and to implement competency based training in the TVET sectors.

Under the Skills Expert Project, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the AHK Vocational Training department also advises its Kenyan partners on the German dual vocational training system and implements first pilot projects in this field.
