What is Showcasing about?

Successfully implemented reference projects are key to being successful in the Kenyan market. This program shall provide German energy efficiency providers and their Kenyan partners with a platform to highlight their competences and service portfolio.

The Showcasing targets Kenyan multipliers, decisions makers from industry and politics as well as the Kenyan media as well as German partners. The focus of attention is put on successfully implemented projects and applied technologies with an energy savings aspect. The technologies and know-how should be Made in Germany and is implemented ideally together with a Kenyan partner.

How can my/ my company’s project be selected?

An expert jury discusses all proposals of reference projects, which have been turned in. The jury then decides on the five main best practice entries.

During a one-day event in Nairobi in Autumn 2018 the selected German companies and their Kenyan partners can present their reference projects in front of a selected Kenyan audience and a winner will be chosen. Some reference projects will be visited by a group of industry, media and public sector representatives during the same day. The Award for the winner will be presented at a Networking Event. A best practice marketing brochure will be published.

How can I/ my company participate?

Extended Deadline for turning in the award application documents is Friday, July 27th, 2018; feedback on selected projects will be provided by End of July/ Beginning August.

Award application documents consist of the signed Conditions for Participation and the Questionnaire for the Reference Project. The Feedback Form is the basis of the jury’s decision for your project.

Conditions for Participation

After AHK Kenya receives the filled questionnaire about your reference project, an expert jury will decide on it. A maximum of five reference projects are going to be selected. All five projects are going to presented during a half-day workshop in Nairobi in front of selected Kenyan multipliers, decision makers from industry and politics as well as media representatives as well as German partners. Some of the projects are going to be selected for a site-visit with a group of company, media and public sector representatives.

 Winners will be awarded based on the following criteria:

Performance and savings

2. Level of innovation:

Innovative character of the technical solution

3. Up-to-dateness:

Up-to-date design and modern installations

4. Highest quality standards:

„Best Practice“-project

5. Interest to the public:

Strong potential interest to the Kenyan media

6. Reliability of the solution:

Trusted solution and collaboration partner

7. Collaboration with Kenyan partners:

Working together with Kenyan companies/ local content
