The 1st event of 2017s Green Economy Cycle has received broad coverage in the Kenyan media

"The EastAfrican", the leading cross-country newspaper in East Africa, has featured the initiative of Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Kenya to raise the awareness for adequate waste management in Kenya.

Sara Kabaka from the EastAfrican compares challenges in Kenya with those in other countries. She outlines several actions fields that have been highlighted by the participating experts during the GEGEC waste management workshop held on June 15th, 2017 in Nairobi.

The German Embassy's Green Economy Cycle (GEGEC) is a series of events to facilitate discussions about economical practices that can be applied to mitigate climate change. GEGEC brings together practitioners and experts from industry, academia and politics in order to together find viable solutions for a prosperous, efficient and climate-friendly economy in Kenya. GEGEC is an initiative spearheaded by the German Embassy in Nairobi and facilitated through the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Kenya.
