On October 13th 2016, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK) implements the 1st Virtual “Trained in GermanY” Career Fair in Kenya on behalf of Alumniportal Deutschland. 1 After successfully hosting similar events in other countries, Alumniportal Deutschland now expands its scope to East Africa.

Date: 13 th October, 9am to 5pm

Online Career Fair – connect to employers in a modern way

Virtual career fairs are an state of the art and up-to- date method for recruiting. This is because prospective employees and employers do not only gather information online, they also communicate and interact online - especially regarding job search. Alumniportal and AHK Kenya are the first organizations introducing this state of the art method to Kenya.

One big difference to physical career fairs is the advantage of reaching also latent job seekers. These people are usually highly qualified experts still employed at another company but open for attractive job offers. They do not attend physical career fairs, but gather information through more anonymous ways - either via headhunters or online channels. Hence, this highly qualified target group is very attracted by online career days and virtual recruiting events. Also students and young professionals strongly use online channels to find a job.

Participation is free of charge.
