AHK Services Eastern Africa supports Saxony Delegation to Uganda

28/07/2023

AHK Services Eastern Africa, represented by our Regional Coordinator, Carl Kibwage, supported the Saxony State Chancellery's second delegation trip to Uganda from 8 to 16 July, 2023. The primary aim of this trip was to strengthen cooperation between Saxony and Uganda, focusing on deepening civil society connections and exploring potential school partnerships.

Led by Oliver Schenk, Minister of State for Federal Affairs and the Media and Head of the Saxony State Chancellery, the delegation comprised members of the Saxon State Parliament and representatives from Saxony's science, business, education, and civil society. The itinerary included essential stops in Hoima, western Uganda, the capital city Kampala, and Gulu in the Northern Region.

AHK took charge of organizing the economic program for the delegation, with support from Saxony Trade & Invest, the Ugandan Embassy in Berlin, GIZ Business Scouts for Development Uganda, and Katosi Women Development Trust. The collaborative efforts of these organizations ensured that the delegation was able to participate in conferences, workshops, meetings, and site visits that were relevant to their goals.
