On 11 July, and 12 July 2023, AHK Services Eastern Africa Ltd, organized a two-day workshop on behalf of authentic.network GmbH themed: ‘Partnerships to reclaim the Kenyan market from counterfeiters through innovation and technology.’ The two workshops drew participation from companies in the manufacturing sectors such as steel, pharmaceutical, food and beverages, as well as legal professionals, and related business associations.
The purpose of the workshops was to not only raise awareness regarding the gravity of the problem of counterfeits in Kenya but to also lay a foundation for future collaborations by tapping into German technology and innovation offered by authentic.network GmbH in the fight against counterfeit products.
Distinguished speakers at the event included the German Ambassador Sebastian Groth, as well as crucial Kenyan stakeholders such as the Kenya Association of Manufacturers, the Anti-Counterfeit Authority Kenya, and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry: Present at the event were also several leading Kenyan manufacturing companies.
