Successful Circular Economy Conference in Nairobi, Kenya on 27 February 2024.

On 27 February, AHK Services Eastern Africa Ltd together with Afrika-Verein hosted a successful conference at the Fairmont Hotel in Nairobi to explore business opportunities in the Kenyan Circular Economy sector.

The conference was part of a delegation visit within the market exploration program for small and medium-sized companies of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

The following German company representative presented their products and solutions: Marco Fiumi - FAUN Group, Kalle Sappa and John Kiarie - Achelis Group, José Antonio Goncalves - Lucas-Nülle GmbH, and Rachel Lutwama -Siemens.

The conference was graced by different speakers led by the German Deputy Ambassador Alexander Fierley, Augustine Kenduiwo, Deputy Director of Climate Change of the Kenyan Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, and Maren Diale-Schellschmidt, Delegate of German Industry & Commerce for Eastern Africa. Presentations were made by Christine Zander (Coordination Office for the Africa Business Network ), Asmau Nitardy from our project partner Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft (German - African Business Association), and the local sector experts Ebenezer Amadi from Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA)/SIB and KEPRO Kenya CEO James Odongo.

Two days of B2B meetings and a reception at the German Ambassador’s Residence followed the conference and gave ample space for direct business talks and networking.
